We observe coherent reflection올림픽 토토of올림픽 토토thermal올림픽 토토He atom beams from various microscopically-rough
surfaces at올림픽 토토grazing올림픽 토토incidence.올림픽 토토For올림픽 토토a올림픽 토토sufficiently올림픽 토토small올림픽 토토normal component kz of the incident
wave-vector of올림픽 토토the atom the reflection올림픽 토토probability is found to be a올림픽 토토function올림픽 토토of올림픽 토토kz올림픽 토토only.올림픽 토토This
behavior is explained by올림픽 토토quantum-reflection올림픽 토토at올림픽 토토the attractive branch올림픽 토토of올림픽 토토the올림픽 토토Casimir-van올림픽 토토der
Waals올림픽 토토interaction올림픽 토토potential [1].올림픽 토토For올림픽 토토larger올림픽 토토values올림픽 토토of올림픽 토토kz올림픽 토토 the올림픽 토토reflection probability is found to
increase with parallel올림픽 토토component올림픽 토토kx올림픽 토토for올림픽 토토a올림픽 토토given kz.올림픽 토토The material specific올림픽 토토kx올림픽 토토dependence올림픽 토토is
discussed in terms of an올림픽 토토effective올림픽 토토averaging-out of the surface roughness and the atom-surface
Casimir-van der Waals potential under올림픽 토토grazing incidence conditions. The coherent reflection at
grazing incidence is exploited to focus올림픽 토토He atom beams in one dimension down to 2 ㎛ with올림픽 토토a
Concave cylindrical mirror. The올림픽 토토mirror is made out of quartz and has a curvature radius of 78 m.
The focal length can be adjusted by varying the incidence angle. With a relatively large focal length,
the spot size gets larger with increasing source size and increasing deBroglie-wavelength. On the
other hand, when the focal length is adjusted to a small value by decreasing the incidence angle,
the focal spot size is mainly determined by spherical aberration of the mirror.
