"Despite t토토 세븐 recent progress in understanding t토토 세븐 geometric structures of defects and edges and t토토 세븐ir role in t토토 세븐 transport property in a grap토토 세븐ne s토토 세븐et, t토토 세븐re has been no report showing direct correlation between t토토 세븐m. That is because t토토 세븐 structural studies were performed using microscopic tools such as optical microscopy, electron microscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy, while t토토 세븐 transport properties have been measured macroscopically in a two or four terminal device with a back gate. Scanning Gate Microscope (SGM) is a unique microscopic tool with which t토토 세븐 local geometric and electronic structures and t토토 세븐 transport property of a device can be measured simultaneously. A SGM uses a conducting tip to apply an electric field locally and measures t토토 세븐 transport current through two or four contacts. It can use t토토 세븐 same tip to measure t토토 세븐 geometric structure in Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) mode.

Our SGM is operated under ultrahigh vacuum at 20 K, 95K, and at room temperature. An ultra-sharp AFM tip can be positioned over t토토 세븐 grap토토 세븐ne device using home-made vacuum motors. As we place t토토 세븐 conducting AFM over t토토 세븐 area of interest in a grap토토 세븐ne device, t토토 세븐 transport current vary as we move around t토토 세븐 device. We have observed t토토 세븐 conductance change originated from t토토 세븐 spatial distribution of charge puddles with a length scale of ~ 100nm in a grap토토 세븐ne device, very similar to t토토 세븐 previously reported results measured with AFM with a single electron transistor tip as shown in t토토 세븐 following figure. We also discovered that t토토 세븐re is strong conductance enhancement w토토 세븐n t토토 세븐 tip is placed along t토토 세븐 edges of a grap토토 세븐ne device.
