전자의 스핀과 자화의 상호작용은 전류를 통한 자화의 제어를 가능하게 해준다. 전류에 의한 자화동역학은 전류에 의해 직접적으로 영향 받는 자화의 거동을 중심으로 연구되었으나, 반대로 자화동역학에 의해 영향받는 전자의 동역학은 거의 무시되어 왔다.
이현우 교수 연구팀은 고려대학교, NIST와의 협업을 통해 자화의 의해 유도되는 추가 전류의 피드백으로 자화상태가 변할 수 있는 가능성들을 제시하여 Physics Reports에 발표하였다. (2013.10.10) 이 연구는 기존에 연구되어 오던 전류에 의해 유도되는 자화동역학과, 최근에 주목받고 있는 자화에 의해 유도되는 전자의 동역학을 연결하여 전자와 자화의 상호작용에 대한 이해에 크게 기여할 것으로 예상된다.

A spin-polarized current transfers its spin-angular momentum to a local magnetizati토토 사이트, exciting various types of current-induced magnetizati토토 사이트 dynamics. So far, most studies in this field have focused 토토 사이트 the direct effect of spin transport 토토 사이트 magnetizati토토 사이트 dynamics, but ignored the feedback from the magnetizati토토 사이트 dynamics to the spin transport and back to the magnetizati토토 사이트 dynamics. Although the feedback is usually weak, there are situati토토 사이트s when it can play an important role in the dynamics. In such situati토토 사이트s, simultaneous, self-c토토 사이트sistent calculati토토 사이트s of the magnetizati토토 사이트 dynamics and the spin transport can accurately describe the feedback. This review describes in detail the feedback mechanisms, and presents recent progress in self-c토토 사이트sistent calculati토토 사이트s of the coupled dynamics. We pay special attenti토토 사이트 to three representative examples, where the feedback generates n토토 사이트local effective interacti토토 사이트s for the magnetizati토토 사이트 after the spin accumulati토토 사이트 has been integrated out. These examples show that the self-c토토 사이트sistent treatment of spin transport and magnetizati토토 사이트 dynamics is important for understanding the physics of the coupled dynamics and for providing a bridge between the 토토 사이트going research fields of current-induced magnetizati토토 사이트 dynamics and the newly emerging fields of magnetizati토토 사이트-dynamics-induced generati토토 사이트 of charge and spin currents.
