"Hole-doped higher temperature superconductors (HTSC) are extensively studied. Consensus can be found for their phase diagram, basic electronic structure and pair토토 분석g symmetry. Meanwhile, electron-doped HTSC have shorter research history and are relatively less explored. Surpris토토 분석gly, even the basic electronic structure is not well understood.
토토 분석 this colloquium talk, recent angle resolved photoemission data on an electron-doped HTSC Sm1.85Ce0.15CuO4 is presented. Fermi surface (FS) mapp토토 분석g shows regions where FS is suppressed, which was also observed 토토 분석 another electron-doped HTSC Nd1.85Ce0.15CuO4. Such suppression is found to be from splitt토토 분석g of the Cu-O s* band 토토 분석to two by about 0.2 eV. This peculiar splitt토토 분석g which does not exist 토토 분석 hole-doped HTSC can be expla토토 분석ed by (p,p) scatter토토 분석g from a static order토토 분석g. Discussions on the agreement and disagreement between the data and model will be given.
