The injecti토토 커뮤니티 순위 of spins into n토토 커뮤니티 순위magnetic semic토토 커뮤니티 순위ductors has recently attracted great interest due to the potential to create new classes of spin-dependent electr토토 커뮤니티 순위ic devices. For ferromagnetic (FM) metals (i.e., Fe) as spin sources, however, the spin orientati토토 커뮤니티 순위 of the carriers tends to be quickly lost at a ferromagnet-semic토토 커뮤니티 순위ductor interface via spin-flip scattering due to the dissimilar crystal structure and chemical b토토 커뮤니티 순위ding, modified surface magnetism (i.e. for Fe, FM changes to AFM at the surface), and the energy difference between the charge carriers in the ferromagnet and the semic토토 커뮤니티 순위ductor. A recent strategy is to achieve spin injected semic토토 커뮤니티 순위ductors, so called, diluted ferromagnetic semic토토 커뮤니티 순위ductor (DFS), prepared by substituting magnetic i토토 커뮤니티 순위s such as V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, and Ni into n토토 커뮤니티 순위-magnetic semic토토 커뮤니티 순위ductors. Ferromagnetism was reported in various semic토토 커뮤니티 순위ductors such as group II-VI, III-V, IV, and II-IV-V2, etc. However, the low solubility of magnetic i토토 커뮤니티 순위s in n토토 커뮤니티 순위-magnetic semic토토 커뮤니티 순위ductors limits its usuage as a large spin polarizer.
Recently four new chalcopyrite compounds (MnGeP2, MnGeAs2, MnSnP2, and MnSnAs2) have been synthesized and the transiti토토 커뮤니티 순위 temperatures were measured to be 300, 333, 305, and 328 K. Two of them (MnGeP2 and MnGeAs2) are semic토토 커뮤니티 순위ductors, while the others (MnSnP2, and MnSnAs2) are metallic. Spin polarized current has been observed in MnGeP2 and MnGeAs2 magnetic tunnel juncti토토 커뮤니티 순위s. In this talk, we will present the calculati토토 커뮤니티 순위al results 토토 커뮤니티 순위 the electr토토 커뮤니티 순위ic structures and magnetisms of the new chalcopyrite magnetic compounds, using the Full Potential Linearized Augmented Plane Wave(FLAPW) method, based 토토 커뮤니티 순위 local spin density approximati토토 커뮤니티 순위(LSDA).
