1959. The Korea Aerospace Research Institute(KARI) was established in 1989. The first National
Space Development Plan which includes Korea Sounding Rocket(KSR) and Korea Space Launch
Vehicle(KSLV) program was made in 1996. KARI began in 1990 to research and develops its own
sounding rocket program. KARI launched its first single-stage solid propellant토토 분석sounding토토 분석rocket,
KSR-I, in 1993. KSR-II was launched in 1997 and 1998 as two-stage solid propellant토토 분석sounding
rocket with a 150kg scientific payload토토 분석and 150km apogee. KARI토토 분석embarked토토 분석on토토 분석its토토 분석first토토 분석liquid
propellant sounding rocket project in December 1997. KARI successfully launched KSR-III which
reached an altitude of 42.7km and flew over 84km for 231.44 seconds on November토토 분석28,토토 분석2002.
Korea plan to develop a satellite launch vehicle, KSLV-1, capable of putting토토 분석a토토 분석100kg토토 분석payload
into orbit by September 2009 from토토 분석Naro토토 분석spaceport. The토토 분석first토토 분석korean토토 분석Space토토 분석Launch토토 분석Vehicle,
Naro-1 was fired on 25 Aug. 2009 from Naro Space Center.
