Ultrathin토토 세븐oxide films have attracted a great deal of interest due to their importance in a
broad range of technological토토 세븐applications, such as gas sensors, fuel cells,토토 세븐protective
coatings, and heterogeneous catalysis.토토 세븐Recent theoretical and토토 세븐experimental토토 세븐works of
catalysis demonstrated the importance of the electronic states of metal atoms adsorbed
on ultrathin oxide films grown on metal substrates. In this talk,토토 세븐I will first present a brief
review of various properties obta토토 세븐ed for metal-supported ultrath토토 세븐 oxide films. Next I will
show some ab 토토 세븐itio calculation results carried out 토토 세븐 our group to understand the physical
properties of metal atoms on metal-supported ultrath토토 세븐 MgO films. F토토 세븐ally possible
implications for designable material systems will be discussed.
