Ultrathin올림픽 토토oxide films have attracted a great deal of interest due to their importance in a
broad range of technological올림픽 토토applications, such as gas sensors, fuel cells,올림픽 토토protective
coatings, and heterogeneous catalysis.올림픽 토토Recent theoretical and올림픽 토토experimental올림픽 토토works of
catalysis demonstrated the importance of the electronic states of metal atoms adsorbed
on ultrathin oxide films grown on metal substrates. In this talk,올림픽 토토I will first present a brief
review of various properties obta올림픽 토토ed for metal-supported ultrath올림픽 토토 oxide films. Next I will
show some ab 올림픽 토토itio calculation results carried out 올림픽 토토 our group to understand the physical
properties of metal atoms on metal-supported ultrath올림픽 토토 MgO films. F올림픽 토토ally possible
implications for designable material systems will be discussed.
