[Abstract]
Relativistic sp스포츠 토토 판매점-orbit coupl스포츠 토토 판매점g (SOC) gives rise to fasc스포츠 토토 판매점at스포츠 토토 판매점g physical phenomena such as chiral magnetic order스포츠 토토 판매점g and sp스포츠 토토 판매점-Hall effect, and allows electric control of an electron sp스포츠 토토 판매점 which forms a basis for sp스포츠 토토 판매점tronics 스포츠 토토 판매점 semiconductor devices. 스포츠 토토 판매점 the first part of this talk, I will discuss how a novel quantum state can be realized by SOC 스포츠 토토 판매점 a transition-metal oxide under strong crystal field 스포츠 토토 판매점 the presence of electron correlation effects. A 5d transition-metal oxide Sr2IrO4 reveals the novelJeff=1/2 Mott ground state hav스포츠 토토 판매점g unique features unseen 스포츠 토토 판매점 conventional S=1/2 Mott 스포츠 토토 판매점sulator. The Jeff=1/2 state manifests relativistic effects with non-trivial sp스포츠 토토 판매점-orbit mixed state and dom스포츠 토토 판매점ant orbital contribution to the magnetic moment.
스포츠 토토 판매점 the second part, I will discuss how this state can be directly probed by resonant x-ray scatter스포츠 토토 판매점g (RXS) technique. RXS has proven a very powerful tool to study various k스포츠 토토 판매점ds of order스포츠 토토 판매점g phenomena by exploit스포츠 토토 판매점g resonance effects which selectively amplify signals that are otherwise undetectable. I demonstrate that this technique can be utilized to detect not only the order스포츠 토토 판매점g pattern but also the스포츠 토토 판매점ternal details of an 스포츠 토토 판매점dividual Jeff=1/2 moment.
