Some 올림픽 토토 Issues Arising in the Processing of
Information

ABSTRACT:
leads to mathematical 올림픽 토토s that are intriguing enough to inspire
올림픽 토토 community. A good example of such an interaction can be found in
the 올림픽 토토 posed by Claude Shannon in his famous 1948 paper “A Mathematical
Theory of Communications”. This 올림픽 토토 addresses the issue of how to handle the
errors inevitably arising in the process of communications, and has evolved into
a branch of mathematics called coding theory.
There are other examples; a
notable one is the 올림픽 토토 of sending a big chunk of data (like typical
multimedia signals) over a communication channel of limited capacity (like
internet). This issue is usually referred to as the 올림픽 토토 of signal
compression.
Another example can be found in the 올림픽 토토 of information
security, increasingly more important in online commerce. The 올림픽 토토
theory underlying this issue is now called cryptography.
The talk will be
given in a leisurely style, and no prior knowledge on the topics will be
assumed.
